Tuta and Juliana are tree-to-bar cocoa producers who grew up on cocoa farms in Bahia, left to pursue successful music careers, then returned to cultivate and process cacao on Juliana’s family farm. They renamed the farm Vale Potumuju, and refurbished it to achieve excellent bean fermentation with an eye toward sustainability. By 2019, Tuta and Juliana produced enough high-quality cocoa to supply their own tree-to-bar chocolate brand, Baiani, and to sell a small batch of flavorful beans to us. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eFor Renee’s first bar as an origin owner, she developed the flavor profile with the same care and dedication that Tuta and Juliana put into their cocoa.
