Trip Overview

Join us to experience diverse areas of Thailand: Starting in Bangkok, we’ll travel to cocoa country, where you’ll get to see farms, fermentaries, and temples! We’ll visit markets and stay at a house on the beach. We’ll also enjoy a cocoa-focused meal at an incredible restaurant in Bangkok. If seven days isn’t enough for you, we offer an add-on for you to join us in Chang Mai for a few more days.

Trip is seven days, including arrival and departure days. The Chiang Mai add-on is an additional four days.

  • Explore cacao farms in Chantaburi.
  • Visit a local fermentary.
  • Taste fresh cacao pods.
  • Sing karaoke on a cacao farm.
  • Cook dinner with ingredients from a local market.
  • Eat a cocoa-focused dinner like you’ve never had before.
  • See Thai temples.

What the Price of This Trip Includes

The price of a single occupancy room on the Thailand Origin Trip is $2,900 per person, while a shared room is $2,500 per person. The optional Chiang Mai trip extension adds $1,600 per person for a single occupancy room and $1,200 per person for a shared room.

The cost also covers:

  • Internal travel and transportation between scheduled activities.
  • Meals and any planned cultural excursions. (We will do our best to accommodate food allergies or restrictions.)

Please not that guests are responsible for their own flights in and out of Bangkok International Airport.

JAN 19 - ARRIVAL


Fly into Bangkok, transfer to the hotel, meet everyone, and get an overview of the agenda for the week at dinner.

JAN 20 - EXPLORE BANGKOK


We’ll visit chocolate makers in Bangkok, and tour the beautiful city.

JAN 21 - Drive to Chanthaburi; Fermentary Dinner


For much of the day, we drive through the countryside to reach the cocoa area; then meet the team in Chanthaburi and dine at the fermentary.

JAN 22 - Farms & Night Market


Spend the day with farmers, and the evening in a massive food market.

JAN 23 - Temple, Market, & Beach House


Head to visit a local temple, then on to an outdoor food market. We’ll bring ingredients to a beach house, where you can enjoy the ocean while we cook dinner.

JAN 24 - Return to Bangkok & Cocoa Dinner


Drive back to Bangkok; you’ll have a bit of free time, then we’ll go out to a dinner you’ll never forget.

JAN 25 - DEPARTURE


You’ll say goodbye to Bangkok with a better understanding of cocoa production in Thailand. If you choose to add on the Chiang Mai extension, this will instead be your travel day to Chiang Mai. See below for more details.

JAN 25 - Fly to Chiang Mai


For those joining us for the add-on, we will fly to Chiang Mai and enjoy a local cocktail bar and hot pot.

JAN 26 - Free Day


Chiang Mai is an incredible city; you’ll have today to explore on your own! Dinner will be at the night market.

JAN 27 - chocolate Makers, Farms, & Blackitch


Chiang Mai has many makers in a small area; we’ll visit a number of them, plus a local farm. Blackitch Artisan Kitchen makes us a world-class meal.

JAN 28 - Fly to Bangkok


We fly to Bangkok, return to our hotel, and have some additional time to explore the city before our very last dinner.

JAN 29 - DEPARTURE


You’ll say goodbye to Bangkok with a better understanding of cocoa production in Thailand.
